Shenandoah 4 Person Barrel Sauna

Named a 4 person sauna but listed at 6 seats and 8 kW; at $7,455 it is the dearest six-seat red cedar barrel we track.

Check the seat count before you buy. The product name says 4 person, but the data lists 6 seats, so we compare it with six-seaters. Against the other red cedar six-seaters it is the priciest at $7,455 from Finnish Sauna Builders, versus $6,191 for the Almost Heaven Seneca and $6,252 for the Princeton.

What the extra money buys is size: 119 inches long, 82.4 wide and 85.9 tall, the longest barrel in our data. The Almost Heaven Seneca is 82 inches long. That suits a deck or yard with room to spare and people who like to stretch out, and not a small garden. The 8 kW heater is normal for six seats here. Almost Heaven states a Limited Lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects; the Harvia heater has its own, 1 year on the elements and 5 on other parts. No weight is listed.
